Lair of the Orc Horde is the working title for the fantasy themed strategy game I am currently developing.

Your band of adventures must fight their way past an unrelenting horde of orcs.  Random levels make each game unique.  Levels start out small, as in the example shown here, but steadily become much larger.

This screen shot shows just one character in the upper left corner, but in the actual game you'll control a party of five characters.  The objective is to get all five of your characters to the stairs in the lower right corner.  Each turn new enemies will spawn at the barred doors.  In the final game, your enemies will appear only when they are in the line of sight of one of your characters.

The sprites I'm using don't look like orcs. I'll have to change the name of the game eventually.

I created this game a few years ago for the Pocket PC.  The port to ActionScript is going slowly, but the results are much more colorful and dynamic.
