About these Games

I've been programming games since I last laid hands on my high school's mainframe terminal. I have kept mostly with Basic (and later Visual Basic) but I haven't chosen to share my games online because of the difficulties and risks of distributing a basic program. Frankly, you'd have to be nuts to download a program from some free site like this.

But with Flash, these issues disappear. Distribution is as simple as embedding the file in a web page, and Flash programs seem like a safe way to play games online.

Of course, I now have to convert my VB games to Flash, and that's going to take awhile since I don't have time for much programming anymore, and I'm learning Flash ActionScript as I go.

Extinction: A Prehistoric Puzzle Game

Extinction is a simple Flash program I wrote while learning ActionScript.  It's based on the Accordion solitaire card game, but with a dinosaur theme.

Lair of the Orc Horde

Lair of the Orc Horde is a much more ambitious dungeon crawler inspired by the old Space Hulk board game from Games Workshop. I created this game a few years ago for the Pocket PC.  The ActionScript port is going slowly, but the results are much more colorful and dynamic.
